Displays, Displays, Displays

I use to be so good about posting photos of all my library displays! My first year working at a school library had me making just the displays for the elementary school. However, when I took over making displays for the elementary, middle, and high school … I didn’t have time to post pictures of them as frequently. >.< I’d stay after work getting them up and then head home to do homework. Long days! 🙂 I loved making all of these displays, so here is a .pdf with photos for all the K-12th grade library displays I made during the 2015-2016 school year. I am frequent user and I am often inspired by other library displays. I get really into making these and hope you like them! 🙂

I still need to make one of these documents for the 2014-2015 school year, but for now you can see those throughout the blog. 🙂

After School Program

I work in the after school program and came up with a new sign solution for us to use. The kids are divided in to rooms by grade level and we always put signs in our doors if we take the kids somewhere else in the school. I realized we all where waisting a lot of paper and making numerous signs each day. I made these laminated signs that each room leader can circle where in the school they are that day. All they have to use is a dry erase marker and then hang the sign up!

QR Codes

I have started putting QR codes in the books that students can scan and it will open extra content on their phones related to the book! I have also put a URL in the books if students don’t have QR readers. I thought this would be a fun way to try and bring in more students to the library who are more in to technology then reading. I thought it would be neat and fun for students to be able to pull up book trailers or fun book related content with their phones. I made the QR codes on a application for smart phones. I also created a website using to hold all the extra content. The site is URL is

Word Bank Wall

I can’t take credit for this awesome idea! My boss made a word bank wall recently for the students. It contains words that they often ask us to spell when they are searching for books on the computers. 🙂

Sneak Peak: Dr. Seuss Display

Here are some fun things going on in the library for Dr. Seuss. I am currently working on the Dr. Seuss bulletin board in the elementary and a March Madness display in the middle school lunchroom!

A Day of Organization

I bought some inexpensive clips to hang up the bulletin board boarders. Saves on shelf space by hanging them up!
